Here are answers to a few of the typical questions I am asked.

Please contact me with anything else you would like to discuss.

Questions & Answers

1

What can I expect at my first appointment?

You will be asked to complete a detailed medical and nutrition intake form prior to the appointment. This is very important to complete ahead as it saves time in our session so we can get to the important bits. We will review your forms & develop a plan together with achievable goals. Your follow up plan will be determined based on your needs & goals.

*Support persons are welcome to attend when available & appropriate.

2

What types of payment do you accept?

When using Telehealth for virtual sessions, I ask that clients pay with credit cards, debit cards, & HSA cards. When meeting in person I can also accept cash and check as well.

3

Will my insurance policy cover the visits?

Many Health Insurance Companies now do-

I am currently a preferred provider with BCBS & Aetna. For those who have out-of-network (OON) benefits with other insurance companies, I am happy to provide a Superbill (medical receipt). You may be able to submit this bill to your insurance company for full or partial reimbursement.

Each plan is VERY different - So be sure to contact your insurance provider, get a representative on the phone & start asking questions. It may be time consuming, but very worth your time!

*Questions you might ask your provider ...

Does my policy cover medical nutrition therapy?  Will my diagnosis be covered? Have I met my deductible?  Do I have a co-pay  for my nutrition counseling visits?  How many visits do I have per calendar year?

What about Private Pay Clients?

Of course I welcome private pay clients into my practice. I am able to take credit, debit & HSA cards. When in person, I can also take cash or check as well.
